This is a W114 230-6 “Lang” (LWB), built between 1973 and 1976, and it sits at the top of the range with a 2.3L inline-six sending 120hp to the rear wheels via manual or automatic transmission.

Long-wheelbase production across both W114 and W115 models totalled around 9,895 units, but the six-cylinder W114 “Lang” variants accounted for just 2,213 cars, with only 1,131 examples being the 230.6 Lang, making it exceptionally rare today.

This particular example carries even more intrigue as it was to part of the Lesotho Imperial fleet and believed to have been gifted to the King of Lesotho by the English government. Documentation confirms it to be a matching numbers car and it presents well with an exceptionally original interior and factory aircon.
